What Buyers Are Doing Differently Right Now
Buyers are back in the market—but they’re not behaving the same way they were a couple years ago.
And understanding this shift is really important, whether you’re buying or selling.
Buyers are more intentional
Right now, buyers are:
• Taking more time to evaluate homes
• Comparing options more carefully
• Thinking long-term about their decisions
They’re not rushing into offers the way they used to.
But they’re still moving
Here’s the important part:
When the right home comes up… buyers are still moving quickly.
That hasn’t changed.
What’s changed is what qualifies as “the right home.”
What buyers are prioritizing now
I’m seeing buyers focus more on:
• Condition and maintenance
• Layout and functionality
• Long-term livability
They’re asking more questions—and paying closer attention to details.
What this means for sellers
This shift matters.
Because buyers are no longer overlooking things they might have ignored in a hotter market.
👉 Presentation, pricing, and preparation matter more now.
My take
This is a more thoughtful market.
Buyers aren’t less serious—they’re just more intentional.
And when you understand that, you can make better decisions on either side.
