First off, it must be known that the process of selling a home is not the easiest thing to do. This is why we hire a Licensed, Professional Realtor to do this job for us. When I had first reached out to Joel I was undecided on who I was going to work with and had been in contact with a few different Realtors in order to gather insight on their methods, experience, knowledge of the local market and an overall feel of their relatability since I knew that I was in essence hiring a temporary business partner.
What had impressed me about Joel was his prompt and personal response when I had first reached out for information. I would like to deal with my Realtor personally, I don't want to talk to a secretary or office assistant when I'm deciding on who I'm going to work with or schedule a meeting, I need to know that Realtor will coordinate my priorities and needs with his. I need to know that my Realtor is able to work around my schedule, not his.
This is why I chose Joel, no run-around, no missed or late appointments, no lack of information, no rescheduling. In fact, during our initial, late night, meeting he had 2 phone calls (I may be falsely assuming that this was his wife due to the picture of his newborn that popped up when the phone rang, twice in 2 minutes) that he ignored. This told me that when I work with Joel, he will put everything else aside and work with me. That I am not his primary concern, but his only concern.
Once the house was listed, Joel did an excellent job of keeping me informed of all the feedback from the showings, both good and bad. He did a wonderful job of keeping in contact with prospective buyers and their agents and never hesitated in relaying any information back to me.
When our first offer came in, Joel was very hands on through the process and did everything necessary to keep things moving. When it came to light that the first offer was not going to close due to issues with the buyer, Joel maintained a positive outlook, kept my spirits up, and re-listed the property.
Next we received 2 different offers on the same day, when this happened, I felt that he did a great job explaining the nuances and the differences between the two offers and I really felt that I had the right information that I needed in order to make my decision regarding which offer to pursue. After settling on an offer, Joel kept me informed during every step of the process and immediately notified me of any issues that arose.
This sale was successful and we did end up closing at the expected amount. I am very grateful that Joel kept the process as painless for me as possible and did as much as he could to keep interest in the property over the roughly 90 days that we were listed for.
