Quest for the Trolls
Northwest Trolls: Way of the Bird King - is an ambitious public art project presented by the Scan Design Foundation, focusing on Danish-American relations and environmental sustainability. It comprises six massive troll sculptures created by Danish environmental artist Thomas Dambo, strategically placed throughout the Pacific Northwest. Each troll sculpture tells an environmental story and aims to strengthen the cultural ties between Coast Salish tribal communities and Scandinavian traditions. The best part is that there is no admission fee to visit any of these publicly-accessible troll sculptures, thanks to the support of funding and host site partners.
